
MEET MONIQUE
I'm a passionate certified health coach dedicated to promoting clean living, detoxification and holistic wellness. With a background in nutrition and wellness coaching, I empower my clients to embrace healthier lifestyles through informed choices and sustainable habits. I focus on bringing in nutrient dense foods and therefore crowding out unhealthy choices. I will educate clients on the food industry and how to enable your bodies natural detoxification process. Let's minimize toxins and replenish nutrients in the diet.
My Own Clean Living Journey and How it Started
In 2019, I found out my younger brother was diagnosed with Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC). It was already stage 4. He was only 29 years young. At that point in my life, I felt completely lost. I couldn’t believe that my brother who was 10 years younger than me was getting diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer and it was so late in the process for us that we couldn't do much about it. As a result, I took a deep dive into nutrition and wellness. I wanted to find the cause and help find a cure. Today my brother is no longer with us. I would like to say that his death was not in vain, and I use my energy and love for him to help others. Every day I seek to find new ways to bring awareness about the toxins that are in our world. My wish for all of us is that we can live a long, happy, clean life.
Education
After earning my certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I have been dedicated to helping individuals transform their lives by focusing on whole, nutrient-dense foods, mindful eating practices, and natural wellness solutions. My holistic approach emphasizes the importance of mental, emotional, and physical health, guiding clients to find balance and vitality. With a background in journalism and political science, I started researching to find answers to my own health struggles as well as my family's in an effort to bring attention to toxins and promote a clean living lifestyle.
I Believe
I believe that clean living is more than just a diet; it's a lifestyle that encompasses nutrition, exercise, stress management, and self-care. I lead one-on-one coaching and group sessions where I share practical tips for decluttering the diet, choosing organic products, and cultivating a sustainable, eco-friendly lifestyle. Clean living is a concept of making mindful choices to support one's whole person's health. I will support you to move towards clean living by making sustainable shifts that will not only remove harmful toxins, pollutants, pesticides and negative energy from your daily life but bring in new health supporting elements. Minimizing potential toxins in food and replenishing nutrients in the body are two effective ways to nutritionally detox. We’re exposed to toxins on a daily basis, including the foods we eat, pesticides, added sugars, and trans fats. I will help you dig deeper into your nutrition, your home environment and your beauty/self care products to eliminate toxins and bring in new healthy alternatives. There are four Multidimensional Health Pillars (Physical, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual). To be fully thriving I will make sure each area of your multidimensional health is treated and cared for. I will be your accountability partner and root for you to reach your goals in all areas of multidimensional health.
When I'm Not Coaching
When I'm not coaching, I enjoy yoga, playing Mahjong with my girlfriends, traveling, and volunteering at my son's school's garden program. I am a mother of 2 with 2 bonus sons and my rescue dog, Ginger. I enjoy watching my daughter on the stage of her Theater productions, and my son play baseball and football. I am a member of PCH Sage which is a group of diverse female leaders who united to improve the well-being of children in the Valley by raising funds and improving access to mental health resources at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
